- growth spurts, acne, breast development, menstruation
- body image, mood swings, crushes
- developing self-identity and increased independence
- ensuring healthy friendships
How parents can best provide guidance and support
Key strategies that work for parents, including:
- Sharing values and beliefs
- Helping your child set and communicate boundaries
- Effectively addressing questions and concerns
- Avoiding common pitfalls and conversation "stoppers"

Workshops are informal, interactive and fun. There are a variety of activities including a short video, hands-on projects and separate break-out sessions for parents and youth.
